Our Mission Statement

Principal:  Teresa Tanner

The teachers, parent educators, principal and other professional associated with the Early Childhood Program will work together in a team effort approach to provide coordinated services that best meet the diverse needs of young children and their families.

By providing support and knowledge of child development to families, parents become more confident and informed observers and facilitators or their children's development. The preschool programs maximize opportunities for success in the areas of language, cognitive, self-help, motor and personal-social skills.

 Parents as Teachers

Being a Parent is hard work! Parents as Teachers is here to help! We are a free program available to families with children ages Birth through Five years that provides the information, support and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.  Through home visits, group meetings, fun activities and developmental screenings, our Parent  Educators  provide opportunities to increase parent knowledge of early childhood development, provide early detection of developmental delays or health issues, and increase children's school readiness and success.  Register here to have a parent educator contact you about the program or email AndyS@hickmanmills.org.
